Kaseya is seeking a Senior Staff Network Software Engineer to architect and develop scalable, multi-tenant cloud-native networking and security solutions. This hands-on role blends deep cloud networking expertise with software development, focusing on Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Zero Trust Security, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) stacks.
You will architect and develop multi-tenant cloud-native networking and security solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Key responsibilities include optimizing traffic steering, policy orchestration, and security enforcement; developing high-speed telemetry and analytics solutions for network visibility and threat detection; creating software solutions to optimize cloud egress and gateway hosting costs; and building cloud networking applications using Go and PHP for traffic management, security policy orchestration, network observability, and service chaining.
This is a hands-on technical role where you will define design, write and review code, and guide teams through delivering production systems. You'll work on complex problems spanning cloud infrastructure, network security, and high-performance data plane engineering.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of software engineering experience with 7+ years focused on backend systems; 3+ years in a Staff, Principal, or Architect role with end-to-end ownership; 5+ years of hands-on Golang and PHP programming; 3+ years with cloud-native NGFWs and network security appliances; 5+ years of Linux networking (netfilter, iptables, nftables, DNS filtering, traffic shaping, QoS); 3+ years with network security technologies (DPI, IDPS, SSL Proxy); 2+ years with SASE components (DLP, SWG, ZTNA, CASB); and 2+ years with Linux userspace fast-path frameworks (VPP, DPDK).
Preferred qualifications include experience with eBPF, XDP, AF_XDP; data-path multitenancy (VXLAN, Linux Namespaces, VRFs); containerization and Kubernetes; cloud-native networking frameworks (Cilium, Calico); ELK stack, Redis, Cassandra, Kafka; CI/CD workflows and Git; and VPN technologies (IPSec, WireGuard).
