TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to build and own the company's environmental crimes intelligence function from the ground up. You will research, analyze, and publish intelligence on wildlife trafficking and environmental crime networks, tracing the crypto and financial flows behind them using on-chain analysis, OSINT, and partner data. Key responsibilities include: - Build the environmental crimes threat picture by researching, authoring, and publishing intelligence products (threat assessments, typology reports, trend analysis, actor profiles, network maps) and maintaining a reusable threat picture in TRM's intelligence infrastructure. - Drive investigations to action by developing and using on-chain tracing, OSINT, and partner-provided data to identify wallets, entities, and off-ramps behind environmental crime networks. Produce structured, source-cited targeting packages that support law enforcement and partner investigations. - Own the United for Wildlife partner program, replacing fractional coverage with a managed, repeatable program across 200+ partner organizations, including case assistance, analysis, guidance, training, and onboarding. - Bring the community together by organizing virtual and in-person cross-sector, cross-border sprints and working groups with partners such as USFWS, HSI, DOJ, Interpol, UNODC, national agencies, and NGOs. - Be TRM's public voice on environmental crimes, briefing internal stakeholders, partners, leadership, and representing TRM with media and at external events. - Shape the product by acting as the representative power user of TRM's mission tooling, turning field needs into structured feedback and partnering with product teams to prototype new capabilities. - Scale coverage with AI by building reusable AI workflows for signal processing, target selection, and drafting, with human validation where it matters. You will work in a distributed, global team with required overlap across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones. Travel is expected (up to 20%, approximately 6+ major trips per year for industry and partner events plus 2 TRM offsites). The role is fully remote with no onsite requirements. Within 30 days, you should take ownership of an active environmental crimes case and deliver a finished intelligence product. Within 60 days, deliver intelligence or training to a United for Wildlife partner and ship a reusable AI workflow. Within 90 days, stand up a repeatable partner-delivery play, publish or brief your first environmental crimes intelligence product, and hand off leads supporting disruption. TRM is a Series C company with $220M in total funding, backed by Goldman Sachs, Bessemer, Y Combinator, and Thoma Bravo. The company operates as distributed-first with hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., London, and Singapore. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in intelligence analysis, financial crime, illicit finance, blockchain intelligence, or transnational threat investigations - Domain knowledge of wildlife trafficking, environmental crime, and/or transnational smuggling, or a closely adjacent illicit-trade domain with demonstrated ability to ramp fast - Proven ability to independently run complex, multi-source investigations and produce clear, decision-ready, source-cited written intelligence for both expert and non-expert audiences - Strong proficiency in OSINT methodology and tradecraft, with hands-on experience using commercial databases and investigative tools - Production AI fluency: already use AI and LLMs to accelerate research and analysis, build reusable workflows, and critically evaluate AI output - Partner- and community-facing operator: build trust and energize a multi-organization network, comfortable owning an external partner program - Strong stakeholder communication, briefing, and facilitation skills - Self-directed: thrive in ambiguity and generate visible wins quickly in early-stage initiatives - Commitment to becoming fluent in blockchain tracing and TRM's tooling (prior crypto experience not required; training provided) NICE TO HAVE: - Hands-on blockchain or crypto tracing experience across multiple chains and obfuscation techniques (strongly preferred) - Experience working alongside law enforcement or NGOs in a conservation or enforcement context - Experience delivering training or enablement to external partners - Experience organizing events or operational working groups that bring diverse stakeholders together - Regional language skills relevant to key trafficking corridors (Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish, Portuguese)
