This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on proactive security assurance and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) work. Rather than reacting to customer requests, you'll own a named portfolio of strategic accounts and anticipate their security needs before they ask.
You will lead customer security audits and assessments hands-on, including scoping, evidence preparation, running sessions, defending control design, and driving findings to closure. You'll build and maintain account security plans that map each customer's regulatory environment, audit calendar, risk appetite, and control expectations. This positions you as a peer to customer security teams and CISOs, not a form-filler.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own a portfolio of strategic accounts as their dedicated security point of contact, building relationships with security, risk, compliance, and procurement teams
- Lead customer security audits and assessments end-to-end
- Build and maintain account security plans covering frameworks, regulators, audit cycles, known concerns, and roadmap commitments
- Develop deep knowledge of each account's regulatory environment and control landscape
- Prepare evidence and documentation proactively to make assessments predictable rather than painful
This role requires deep expertise in SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks, technical knowledge across cloud architecture, identity and access management, and vulnerability management. You need the presence and credibility to hold a room with skeptical security leaders and the ability to translate between technical controls and business risk. This is deliberately not a management role—you'll spend your time in audits, customer conversations, and control details rather than managing people.
