CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to join the team developing advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and airborne platforms. The Skylark product line focuses on rapid design, build, and test of cutting-edge active phased array antennas (AESA) for terrestrial and airborne applications, spanning high-power ground terminals for missile defense to commercial airline and helicopter connectivity solutions.
In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of board-level and system-level electronics hardware design and implementation for advanced RF communication systems. You will serve as a digital-focused principal electrical design engineer with deep expertise in electrical design and test, driving overall program direction and technical strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and implementation of complex RF communication electronics
- Conducting rigorous design reviews and ensuring adherence to industry standards
- Owning system-level and board-level hardware architecture decisions
- Collaborating across cross-functional teams in a dynamic startup environment
- Providing technical mentorship and guidance on electrical design best practices
- Managing the full lifecycle from concept through test and validation
You will work in a hands-on, interactive environment with significant autonomy. The role requires strong attention to detail, deep understanding of RF systems, and the ability to drive technical excellence across multiple concurrent programs.
