Crusoe is seeking a Senior Staff Commissioning Engineer, Electrical to serve as a technical authority and campus-level leader for commissioning across its data center portfolio. This role combines deep electrical engineering expertise with programmatic ownership and executive-level communication.
You will provide multi-campus strategic leadership and oversight, ensuring operational alignment and exceptional client relations across Crusoe's growing infrastructure footprint. You'll drive consistency in commissioning execution across sites, identify cross-project patterns and systemic risks, and translate lessons learned into program-level improvements. You represent Crusoe Commissioning in governance forums, leadership reviews, and client-facing engagements.
As the technical authority for electrical systems, you own high-impact decisions including energization readiness, acceptance testing, and risk-based deviations. You serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues spanning disciplines, vendors, and project boundaries, maintaining comprehensive understanding of building systems including power distribution, EPMS, controls, mechanical interfaces, and power generation systems.
You will own development and continuous improvement of the commissioning program, creating and deploying new processes, standards, and governance documents. You conduct QA audits, drive root cause analysis on systemic issues, and establish frameworks for measuring program quality. You define standards across the L0–L6 lifecycle and drive adoption across the portfolio.
You support quoting activities with financial accuracy and bid leveling, manage program-level vendor and CxA commercial outcomes, and bring contractual and risk understanding to vendor negotiations. You manage trade partner and third-party commissioning agent performance, set performance bars across the program, and build trust-based partnerships with key external stakeholders.
You actively mentor and develop team members across the organization, bridging current performance to exceptional standards. You anchor calibration and growth conversations in observable behaviors, building technical bench strength that scales with company growth.
Required: 10+ years in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery with demonstrated ownership at campus, region, and program levels. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (equivalent commissioning experience considered; CxA certification a plus). Mastery of full commissioning lifecycle (L0–L6) including documentation, testing, and governance requirements.
