You'll join the Self-Hosted team, which is central to GitGuardian's business—representing 40% of revenues and serving the company's most prestigious customers. The team consists of 3 Senior SREs, an Engineering Manager, and a technical Product Manager. Your mission will be to design, develop, and administer self-hosted infrastructure tailored to diverse customer environments, ensuring high reliability, security, and quality across monthly releases.
Key responsibilities include: architecting self-hosted solutions for different customer infrastructures; managing incidents and troubleshooting production issues; automating and enhancing the release process with quality checks; improving observability and monitoring; maintaining GitLab CI infrastructure and review-app environments; supporting new service deployments; and providing Level 3 customer support (approximately twice monthly). You'll advocate DevOps best practices across engineering teams and help them design scalable architectures.
The technical stack is highly technical and owned end-to-end: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Nginx/Istio/Gateway API, Terraform, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Python/Django backend, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse. GitGuardian's roadmap is ambitious, with several new services launching and infrastructure improvements planned (e.g., NHI Governance, customer infrastructure enhancements, developer endpoint scanning).
You'll have direct impact on large international customers and join a team of passionate engineers committed to knowledge-sharing and continuous learning. The role offers end-to-end ownership of a highly technical stack and opportunities to shape the infrastructure for a rapidly scaling security platform.
