Checkout.com is a leading fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for global merchants including eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. This Senior Implementation Engineer role is based in Singapore and focuses on enabling merchants to successfully integrate and deploy Checkout.com's payment processing technology. You will serve as a technical expert supporting merchants throughout their implementation journey. Key responsibilities include providing technical guidance on API integration, REST, webhooks, and configuration; answering integration-related questions; debugging and troubleshooting issues; managing incidents from investigation through resolution; and ensuring successful go-live and post-implementation support. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams including Merchant Configuration, Sales, Account Managers, and Merchant Care to resolve customer issues during trials and integrations. You'll also maintain and update existing libraries and plugins, interact with Product teams to identify improvement opportunities, and advise management on issues affecting customer satisfaction. The role requires managing multiple concurrent projects and integrations while maintaining a customer-focused, target-driven approach. Required qualifications include 5+ years of development or technical support experience in tech/fintech companies, strong coding skills in at least one of Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Go, or C#, and solid understanding of APIs, REST, webhooks, and logs. Payments experience is advantageous. Experience with Node.js, React, iOS, or Android is a plus. Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (speaking and writing) are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Checkout.com operates a hybrid model with three days per week in-office to support collaboration.
