CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer – Payload to lead systems engineering activities for complex aerospace systems throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves translating mission objectives, customer requirements, and system architecture into technical solutions that enable successful system integration and mission execution.
You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, collaborating with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, integration and test, mission operations, and program management teams. Your responsibilities include ensuring systems meet technical, operational, cost, and schedule objectives while providing technical leadership from concept development through design, integration, verification, launch, and operational support.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, develop, integrate, verify, and support complex aerospace systems
- Lead systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle
- Translate mission objectives and customer requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple engineering disciplines
- Contribute to technical decision-making and risk management
- Support system integration and mission execution
The ideal candidate will have deep aerospace systems engineering expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex technical programs. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you can drive technical excellence and innovation.
