Salary: USD 148,500 - 222,700 / annual
F5 is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support sales efforts with major accounts across the US and internationally. This is a hybrid sales-technical role focused on the company's largest customers, requiring you to act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.
You will articulate F5's product strategy and value proposition, deliver technical expertise through presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (in-person and virtual). You'll determine opportunity viability, identify technical decision-makers, and drive the sales process in partnership with Account Managers. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as technical expert and trusted advisor for F5 Distributed Cloud solutions, designing secure, cloud-native application and networking services
- Provide deep expertise in Web Application and API security, helping customers protect, manage, and scale their ecosystems
- Lead complex sales cycles, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to align offerings with customer needs
- Mentor junior sales engineers, sharing expertise and best practices
- Provide world-class customer service throughout the customer lifecycle
- Work collaboratively with internal technical and sales resources, sharing best practices
The role requires 20-30% travel. You will operate with high autonomy, setting priorities while acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of related industry experience
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Advanced knowledge of ADCs and TCP/IP networking
- Experience with F5 products (BIG-IP: LTM, GTM/DNS, APM, SSLO, ASM/AWAF; NGINX; F5 SaaS/Distributed Cloud)
- Experience with F5 iRules and other customizations
- Advanced F5 solution knowledge and ability to solve customer challenges
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Familiarity/experience with F5 or similar solution deployment (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (preferred)
