The Senior Solutions Engineer will serve as a critical technical partner supporting strategic growth across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role bridges Business Development and Engineering, helping customers understand how LeoLabs' capabilities solve complex operational challenges and support mission objectives.
Key responsibilities include leading technical engagement throughout the customer lifecycle—from early opportunity shaping and technical discovery through proposal development, demonstrations, evaluations, contract award, and implementation transition. You will partner with Business Development and Account Executives to shape strategic opportunities across government, defense, civil, and commercial markets. You'll lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer missions, operational needs, acquisition requirements, and technical challenges, then develop mission-focused solution approaches that align LeoLabs capabilities with customer objectives.
Proposal and procurement support is central to the role: you'll lead technical development of proposals, white papers, Statements of Work, and responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. You'll translate customer requirements into compelling technical narratives, coordinate proposal inputs across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Security teams, and provide technical insight during contract negotiations.
You'll deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and presentations tailored to customer missions, design solutions leveraging LeoLabs' platform and APIs, support proof-of-concept activities and technical evaluations, and build trusted relationships with customer engineers, operators, program managers, and leadership. Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Business Development teams is essential to support customer opportunities and influence product strategy with market insights.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Space Systems, or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred). 7+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Capture Management, Technical Business Development, Systems Engineering, or Technical Program Management. Demonstrated experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, intelligence, or commercial technology customers. Experience with competitive procurements (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, SOWs) is essential.
