Suger is a Series A revenue platform that helps B2B software companies sell through cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, Alibaba, Snowflake). The platform simplifies the operational complexity of marketplace sales—pricing, contracting, billing, revenue recognition, and compliance—across multiple cloud providers using an API-first approach. Founded in 2022 and backed by Threshold VC, Craft Ventures, Intel Capital, and Y Combinator, Suger serves over 250 customers including Snowflake, Intel, Glean, and Vanta.
This is a hands-on, deeply technical role at the intersection of product engineering and customer integrations. You will partner directly with customer engineering teams and Suger's internal engineering organization to design, build, and launch complex integrations on the Suger platform. You'll shape internal systems, APIs, and tooling to make integrations scalable and reliable. As Suger expands AI-powered agents and infrastructure, this role will increasingly focus on automating and optimizing workflows across pricing, contracting, billing, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and map workflows to Suger's APIs, integrations, and AI-powered automation
- Lead technical discovery, demos, walkthroughs, and AI-enabled proof-of-concepts
- Guide customers through onboarding, implementation, and go-live, including AI-assisted workflows
- Troubleshoot API issues, investigate logs, validate configurations, and support escalations
- Collaborate with Engineering to reproduce issues, debug complex systems, and ensure clear technical handoffs
- Partner with Product and Customer Success to surface customer needs and influence the roadmap
- Create and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and sample code for APIs and integrations
- Translate complex technical and AI-related concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support Sales with technical alignment throughout the deal cycle
The role operates on a hybrid model with 4 days per week in the Downtown Vancouver office.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in a Software Engineer (solutions-focused), Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical customer-facing role
- Ability to read and write code (JavaScript, Python, Go preferred, or similar)
- Experience debugging backend systems, APIs, or cloud-based applications
- Strong communication skills with professional English proficiency
- Comfort working directly with enterprise engineering teams and business stakeholders
- Experience supporting both pre-sales and post-sales technical activities
- Interest in or experience with AI-enabled systems, such as automation platforms, AI agents, or LLM-backed services (hands-on ML experience not required)
- Bonus: exposure to cloud marketplaces, SaaS billing, metering, revenue platforms, or workflow automation systems
