Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to work with the sales team and channel partners in the financial services sector. You will be responsible for understanding complex customer needs, strategizing on sales cycles, delivering compelling value-based demonstrations, supporting enterprise proof-of-concepts, and closing large deals.
In this role, you will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. You'll work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from initial demo through proof of concept to design and implementation. You will maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and how to position Snowflake effectively. You'll also collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing efforts.
Snowflake is positioning itself as an AI-native company, and this role requires someone who is energized by AI as a high-trust collaborator and can help customers navigate the evolving AI landscape. You should be equally comfortable in business and technical contexts, interacting with C-suite executives and technical architects alike. The role involves approximately 30% travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences (whiteboard, presentations, demos)
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud
- Proactive curiosity for the AI landscape; ability to be a visionary and technical thought partner for customers
- Proven ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity
- Broad experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
- Ability to connect customer business problems to Snowflake solutions
- Ability to conduct deep discovery of customer architecture and connect with Snowflake Data Architecture
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience); Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus
- Experience with Global Systems Integrators (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) is beneficial but not required
