MX is a fintech company empowering financial institutions to deliver smarter, more intuitive digital experiences to millions of people. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you'll translate MX's mission into real-world impact by designing scalable solutions that solve complex customer problems.
You'll work in a highly collaborative, customer-facing role partnering closely with sales, product, and engineering teams. Your responsibilities include:
• Partner with customers and stakeholders to understand business goals, technical requirements, and constraints, translating them into scalable, high-impact solutions
• Design end-to-end architectures across infrastructure, applications, data, and security—ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability
• Conduct technical discovery and feasibility assessments to evaluate solution viability, identify risks and dependencies, and guide decision-making with clear tradeoffs
• Act as a trusted advisor providing guidance on best practices, architecture patterns, and emerging technologies
• Support pre-sales and solutioning efforts by leading technical discussions, presenting solutions, and building customer confidence throughout the sales cycle
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and aligned with MX standards
• Create architecture diagrams, design documentation, and implementation plans that enable alignment and successful execution
• Stay current on industry trends and proactively identify opportunities to improve MX's technical approach, scalability, and customer experience
You bring 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related customer-facing technical roles. You have 5+ years designing cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern distributed systems, 4+ years partnering directly with customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and 4+ years leading or contributing to end-to-end solution design including APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, experience with fintech/SaaS platforms, understanding of modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems, serverless, containers), API design and data modeling expertise, familiarity with security best practices and cloud compliance, pre-sales support experience, and relevant cloud architect certifications.
