Everlab is a high-growth Australian healthtech startup building a comprehensive platform to manage people's health across their entire lives. The company has achieved 23x revenue growth in the past 12 months and now employs 100+ people with significant expansion planned locally and globally.
You'll join a lean, rapidly scaling Engineering team working across five specialized squads:
**Supply Squad**: Build integrations with clinical services, third-party diagnostics, appointment and booking systems. Work with distributed systems, HL7/FHIR standards, external APIs, and edge reliability.
**Clinical Operations Squad**: Develop backend workflows for doctors and operations teams. Focus on complex domain modeling, finite state machine-driven state management, and close collaboration with clinician stakeholders.
**Patient App Squad**: Create consumer-facing iOS, Android, and web experiences. Deliver pixel-perfect UI, real-time health data visualization, and make complex clinical information accessible to patients.
**Core Services Squad**: Own payments, notifications, events, and shared infrastructure that 50+ engineers depend on. Design APIs and systems that enable platform-wide scalability.
**Platform Squad**: Lead DevOps, performance optimization, and infrastructure as the foundation for scaling across markets.
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and building high-quality software using TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, React, and GCP; scaling medical operations through automation and tooling; enabling clinic and diagnostics workflows; collaborating on customer-facing experiences; supporting market expansion with repeatable infrastructure; and providing technical leadership through mentorship and engineering excellence.
You'll need 6+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record shipping production systems in early-stage or high-growth environments. Strong technical depth or breadth in TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, React, and GCP is expected. You're customer-obsessed, understand the responsibility of healthcare software, pragmatic problem-solver comfortable moving quickly with limited resources, and an exceptional teammate who communicates clearly and values collective success.
