This Senior Software Engineering Manager role is based in Menlo Park, CA. The position involves leading and managing a software engineering team, driving technical strategy, and overseeing the development of software systems that power Mainspring's distributed energy generation platform. The role bridges product, engineering, and operations to deliver scalable, reliable software solutions for enterprise customers and grid-scale deployments.
Key responsibilities include: building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team; defining technical roadmaps and architecture; collaborating with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into engineering initiatives; ensuring code quality, testing, and deployment practices; and contributing to long-term technology strategy. The ideal candidate has deep software engineering expertise, proven people-management experience, and a track record of scaling teams and systems in hardware-software or energy/infrastructure contexts.
