Zone & Co is an ERP-native AI platform for financial operations, purpose-built for Oracle NetSuite. The company serves over 4,500 customers worldwide, automating the full financial lifecycle including Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Treasury, Payroll, and Record-to-Report.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Zone Procure team, you will act as a high-leverage technical leader protecting the platform against long-term technical and business costs. You'll own the technical delivery of complex product modules within the Procure-to-Pay domain, working across multi-entity consolidation and global tax compliance for NOAM, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Key responsibilities include architecting and delivering scalable, observable features; leading AI integration to improve team throughput; protecting system integrity through early identification of technical tradeoffs; decomposing vague requirements into staged execution plans; driving automated validation frameworks for US GAAP and IFRS compliance; translating technical debt into business consequences; refactoring fragile code paths; anticipating architectural bottlenecks; mentoring mid-level and junior engineers; and owning delivery against OKRs with accountability for outcomes, quality, and timelines.
You'll collaborate with Product, Architecture, and FinOps leads to engineer systems enabling autonomous AI agents to perform high-consequence financial tasks reliably. Your work will power critical operations for customers including Tripadvisor, Next Insurance, and Sumo Logic.
Required: 6+ years professional software engineering experience; expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript; proven ability to lead complex projects from ambiguity to production in globally distributed environments; strong verification discipline for high-consequence business logic; effectiveness in fully remote, asynchronous environments with high autonomy; exceptional communication and stakeholder influence across time zones. Fintech, Payments, or ERP-integrated SaaS experience is a strong plus.
