As a Senior Software Engineer on the Procure-to-Pay team, you will act as a high-leverage technical leader responsible for protecting Zone against long-term technical and business costs. This role handles high-stakes ambiguity and complexity, ensuring the AI-native platform remains scalable, testable, and aligned with global financial standards as the company scales.
You will own the technical delivery of complex product modules, collaborating with Product, Architecture, and FinOps leads to translate vague business requirements into high-integrity technical plans. Your scope includes defining patterns for multi-entity consolidation and global tax compliance across NOAM, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and delivering complex, high-value features; leading AI integration as a force multiplier; protecting system integrity through early identification of technical tradeoffs; decomposing requirements into staged execution plans; driving automated validation frameworks for AI-generated and human-written code against US GAAP and IFRS standards; translating technical debt into business consequences; proactively refactoring fragile code paths; anticipating architectural bottlenecks; mentoring mid-level and junior engineers; and owning delivery against OKRs and KPIs.
