In this role, you will lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and C++ as needed. You'll define and enforce best practices across the Windows codebase, focusing on code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
Key responsibilities include driving accessibility efforts by integrating Microsoft UI Automation and other Windows accessibility frameworks, ensuring proper keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities. You'll collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning and the long-term Windows platform roadmap. You'll own the full lifecycle of features from conception through design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance, ensuring quality and consistency across releases.
You'll identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility problems, proposing robust architectural solutions. This is a high-impact role where you'll directly influence what millions of users experience and shape the future of Speechify's Windows product in a collaborative, flat-structure engineering culture.
