You will lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and C++ as needed. Your responsibilities include defining and enforcing best practices for Windows development (code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility for Windows 10/11+). You will drive accessibility efforts by integrating Microsoft UI Automation and related frameworks, ensuring keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
You'll collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and the Windows platform roadmap. You own the full feature lifecycle from conception through design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance. You'll identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility problems, proposing robust architectural solutions.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of Windows desktop application development with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML; deep understanding of Windows application architecture and interop between managed (.NET) and native code; proven track record shipping production-quality desktop applications; strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs; excellent software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading); experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and conducting code reviews; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; user-centric mindset.
Preferred: automated UI testing experience, performance optimization expertise, localization/globalization experience, familiarity with telemetry and crash reporting, CI/CD and release pipeline knowledge, demonstrated ability to own feature areas long-term.
