Robinhood is building the future of finance by democratizing access to financial services worldwide. The Wallet team is creating secure, intuitive, and decentralized products that enable users to custody and manage digital assets at the intersection of traditional finance and web3.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Wallet team, you will own the design, development, and deployment of backend services, infrastructure, and data systems powering Robinhood Wallet products. You'll build reliable and secure solutions delivering high-quality trading experiences for cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, including perpetual futures, to customers globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services that power Robinhood Wallet
- Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements meeting strict correctness and scalability standards
- Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction
- Collaborate closely with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver reliable technical solutions
- Mentor other engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership
You will take lead responsibility for designing scalable architectures, maintaining high-quality codebases, and collaborating with security professionals and external node providers on technical integrations. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience with expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java, deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, strong system design and data modeling fundamentals, and proven ability to simplify complex problems and drive alignment across teams.
This hybrid role is based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Robinhood values in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community.
