Mytra is building robotics and distributed software to solve material movement and storage across supply chains—a $1T market. The company is addressing a critical industry challenge: e-commerce growth, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions have made this traditionally sleepy sector essential to global economic stability.
You will join the robotics team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on vision and perception integration. Your core mission is to develop software that bridges perception systems and robotics firmware across Mytra's fleet as it scales. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams, owning firmware development throughout the product lifecycle and contributing to real-time embedded systems that directly impact robot performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality code across multiple layers of the robotics software stack
- Implement highly performant, real-time code for perception and critical control functions
- Evaluate performance, maintainability, and reliability of code changes
- Contribute to the complete lifecycle of software features: definition, implementation, testing, and rollout strategy
- Assess and guide long-term architectural decisions as the software evolves
- Lead integration of prototype systems, including bring-up, debug, and engineering testing of alpha and beta phase robots
Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. You should have strong Python experience (application and process level), proficiency in C/C++/Rust and system-level environments, and demonstrated ability to break down complex problems in a continuous integration environment. Experience with concurrent/multithreaded coding, electromechanical systems, kinematics, robotics control, and network communication technologies (CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, pub/sub frameworks like NATS) is highly valued. Understanding how hardware changes affect robotics software and vice versa is essential.
