Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced military systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for real-time command and control. The Video Pipeline team is responsible for developing real-time and asynchronous video feeds from remote deployments to web, VR clients, and computer vision pipelines.
As a Senior Software Engineer, Video, you will design and develop video pipeline systems that support ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) payloads for drones and camera systems across Anduril's product portfolio. Your work will span real-time video processing, asynchronous feed management, and integration with computer vision front-end and back-end systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing scalable video pipeline architectures for remote deployments
- Designing ISR payload systems and camera integration strategies
- Building reliable, multi-threaded C++ software for video processing
- Collaborating with computer vision teams on object detection and related tasks
- Working with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) for video management
- Implementing video format standards and streaming protocols
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of C++ software development experience
- BS degree in engineering or related discipline
- Understanding of camera hardware and video formats
- Expertise in multi-threaded, reliable software design
- Eligibility for and ability to maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Preferred experience includes cloud video solutions, Kubernetes, tools like ffmpeg/WebRTC/OpenCV, video formats (MP4, MPEG-TS, H.264, WebRTC/RTP), and Linux platform expertise (V4L2, VA-API, gstreamer, OpenGL).
