Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Air & Missile Defense Radar team in Broomfield or Fort Collins, Colorado. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge tracking algorithms and high-performance software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time for military defense applications. You will design and implement advanced multi-target tracking algorithms, develop real-time software systems that process radar sensor data for dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets, and build modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance. The role involves optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter, collaborating with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems, and communicating technical concepts to cross-functional teams and customers. Key responsibilities include designing novel tracking and discrimination techniques, developing high-performance distributed systems that process massive sensor data streams, participating in customer demonstrations and field tests, and driving informed technical decisions across the organization. You will work in small, focused teams deploying production-grade systems that government and industry customers depend on for mission-critical operations. Required qualifications: 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent). Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging. Experience with signal processing, real-time systems, or defense/aerospace applications is highly valued.
