UiPath's Site Reliability Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and own the platforms and systems that power the company's compliance, SLA commitments, and operational excellence. You will work on cloud access policies, cost governance, observability, and reliability infrastructure—many powered by AI—that other engineering teams depend on in their critical path.
In this role, you will architect and engineer large-scale, distributed systems that solve real reliability gaps across the organization. Rather than identifying problems and filing tickets, you will own the full lifecycle: design, build, ship, and drive adoption. You treat every platform as a product, putting it in front of users early, seeking feedback aggressively, and iterating until it delivers measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include designing SRE platform systems with AI capabilities; participating in livesite monitoring rotations and driving effective mitigations; improving availability, scalability, and performance based on production learnings; embedding best practices into systems rather than documentation; onboarding other teams by removing friction yourself; and shipping early with relentless feedback loops. You will also drive task planning, estimation, and influence process improvements across the engineering organization.
You bring 6+ years of experience architecting and engineering large-scale, distributed commercial applications at scale. You have a proven track record building complex internal platforms adopted by multiple teams in their critical path—systems that have stood the test of time. You demonstrate the ability to drive adoption by doing the hard work yourself: writing integrations, removing friction, and measuring success by outcomes delivered. Experience building and maintaining AI-powered applications in production is essential.
Technically, you are proficient in object-oriented languages (C#, C++, Go, Python) with solid computer science fundamentals. You have deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, asynchronous patterns, and cloud programming. You are experienced with service-oriented and microservice architectures, HTTP applications, and modern engineering practices (agile, CI/CD, DevOps). Experience with production Kubernetes, cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), and database backends (SQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) is required or strongly preferred.
