StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Sponsored Listings team, which is building the company's ad platform engine. This is a fullstack role spanning real-time bidding, auction mechanics, ranking and relevance models, pacing algorithms, and inventory-quality controls operating at marketplace scale.
You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across frontend and backend code across all StubHub platforms and products. You'll collaborate with team members to ensure best practices, manage individual initiative priorities and deliverables, and mentor other engineers to increase their technical capabilities.
The role requires 5-6+ years of professional experience in product-facing software development, with 4+ years of in-depth experience with React and relevant toolsets. You should have extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (Java, C#, etc.) and demonstrated expertise in product-facing software development and/or distributed systems. You'll need a strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, proven ability to learn new coding languages and frameworks, and experience owning projects from initial idea through production. Prior mentoring of junior engineers is expected.
