Salary: USD 156,000 - 224,250 / annual

You will join the Solutions Engineering Team as a Senior Software Engineer, a role focused on understanding customer challenges, designing tailored technical solutions using Omada's products and systems, and demonstrating their value and feasibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shape complex, cross-system integrations early in the design phase, particularly for high-complexity work like partner/alliance integration APIs, understanding both technical fit and operational implications
- Identify patterns in recurring toil and define reusable templates, standards, and automation for the team to build upon; know when to escalate to system owners and reconcile competing constraints
- Drive root-cause analysis beyond immediate fixes, determining whether issues are architectural, monitoring gaps, or process failures, and drive solutions to prevent recurrence
- Mentor team members, including non-engineers who write code and build automations, serving as the go-to person for coding guidance and professional growth
- Partner directly with commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders to scope solutions that fit real timeframes and constraints, making technical trade-off decisions for delivery
- Navigate ambiguous problems without clear specs by asking clarifying questions, scoping actual work, and creating executable technical plans
- Surface risks early—identifying edge cases, security concerns, and downstream impacts during discovery—and document deep-dive knowledge in runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation to triage and address issues supporting members and assisting internal teams

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–8 years writing readable, tested, and efficient production code
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (or exceptional backend engineers in other languages willing to ramp quickly on Rails)
- Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
- Experience building and consuming APIs and integrations across service boundaries
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools; you use AI coding assistants daily and have a thoughtful, quality-conscious perspective on their strengths and limitations
- Experience building API-driven automation workflows (e.g., Tines, n8n, or similar)
- Track record of identifying inefficiencies and shipping solutions that deliver measurable value; comfort connecting business/operational problems to code solutions
- Solid debugging and optimization skills
- Strong grasp of SDLC processes and frameworks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written); ability to work directly with non-engineering stakeholders and translate between business needs and technical reality
- Experience in a solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing technical capacity
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects
