The company is the first CFTC-registered swap dealer focused on cryptocurrency derivatives, operating at the intersection of traditional finance and crypto technology.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Risk team, you will architect and build next-generation risk solutions that serve institutional clients and internal teams. You'll develop, maintain, and enhance FalconX's proprietary risk management tools, infrastructure, risk data, and processes. Your work will directly impact how well-reputed financial institutions and crypto firms manage their exposure and navigate digital asset markets.
Key responsibilities include architecting scalable, robust, and performant risk solutions for institutional customers; working closely with the risk team to develop and improve the risk management stack; and coaching teammates on supporting and maintaining these systems. You'll balance speed, accuracy, and reliability while building cutting-edge technology.
You should have at least 4 years of professional experience in a quant risk role, ideally in a trading environment such as a hedge fund or bank. A degree in Computer Science, EE, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent is required. You'll need strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design and experience with distributed architectures. Proficiency in Python, Linux/AWS environments, and knowledge of financial derivatives across multiple asset classes are essential. The role values proactive ownership, analytical thinking, and strong collaboration skills across risk, product, and engineering teams.
