Immersve is building a decentralized payments protocol that bridges real-world and Metaverse transactions, enabling cryptocurrency and token holders to spend their holdings in fiat currency at merchants or transact in the Metaverse. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will design and develop APIs, UIs, infrastructure-as-code, and automated tests. You'll work directly with founders and senior engineers in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment based around Auckland, NZ. Key aspects of the role include:
- Contributing across the full product lifecycle: initial design, roadmap scoping, and delivery
- Implementing full CI/CD pipelines with multiple daily production deploys from day one
- Owning both backend infrastructure (cloud, databases, DevOps) and frontend development
- Working with bleeding-edge technologies including blockchain and smart contract development
- Mentoring other engineers and contributing to high-level technical design
- Embracing continuous delivery practices with small batches and incremental verification
- Establishing new tools and patterns as the product and technology stack evolve
The tech stack includes: Javascript, React, Tailwind, Cypress, NodeJS, Hapi, Cucumber, Solidity, Substrate, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and DynamoDB.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent full-stack coding ability (cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, UIs)
- Team player with strong communication and ability to work independently
- Comfortable contributing to high-level technical designs and mentoring others
- Embrace of continuous delivery mindset and small-batch working
- Interest in learning new technologies; exposure to or curiosity about blockchain and smart contract development is valued but not required
- Experience with the stated tech stack is not required, but willingness to learn is essential
