Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness Radar team. This role focuses on developing application-level software for next-generation radar systems that support U.S. and allied military capabilities.
You will design, develop, test, and maintain software powering radar applications including mission software, data processing pipelines, configuration tools, and operator-facing interfaces. Key responsibilities include building scalable software platforms with well-defined APIs, developing reproducible build and deployment workflows using Nix, leading performance analysis and optimization efforts, and championing software development best practices across the team.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including signal processing engineers, algorithm specialists, systems engineers, and product managers. You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical decision-making, and evaluate emerging technologies in radar software and distributed systems.
Required qualifications include at least 5 years of professional software development experience, strong software design fundamentals, proficiency in C++ (Python is a plus), proven experience building application-level software with modular components and data processing pipelines, and hands-on experience with Nix for reproducible builds and package management. The ideal candidate has expertise in modern software development practices, understands complex radar and sensor domain challenges, and is passionate about solving national security problems.
