Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced autonomous systems and AI-powered command and control platforms for U.S. and allied militaries. The Software Platform Foundations team is responsible for the foundational systems that enable engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy cutting-edge defense technology with efficiency and reliability.
As a Senior Software Engineer, Quality Integration, you will own critical quality assurance and testing infrastructure that directly impacts how Lattice OS and other Anduril systems reach customers safely. You'll work within complex multi-stage release pipelines spanning cloud and robot environments, where architectural decisions have measurable consequences. Your work ensures that every regression is caught, manual tests are automated, and closed-loop systems flag and fix issues before they impact production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement robust automated verification systems for development, verification, and deployment
- Develop and maintain reference environments where Lattice workflows are verified before release
- Build comprehensive test environments including hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) systems with understanding of software performance on physical hardware
- Implement critical software interfaces enabling end-to-end testing across complex systems
- Maintain and improve performance testing integration into CI/CD pipelines, establishing baselines and enforcing reliability engineering best practices
- Implement AI-enabled automation to identify and fix issues early in the development cycle
- Run design reviews and mentor junior engineers on the team
- Drive features from ambiguous problem statements to production-ready code
You should have 10+ years building automated verification suites at scale, with deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), SRE principles, and automated testing frameworks. Hands-on experience with HITL and SITL automation in production release processes is required. You must be proficient in Python for automation and scripting, and have professional experience with containerization and Terraform. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and regulated industry systems is preferred.
