As a Senior Software Engineer on the Provider team, you will own full-stack development of core infrastructure that connects hospitals and clinics to the PocketHealth platform. Your responsibilities include architecting, designing, developing, deploying, and operating solutions end-to-end. You'll focus on building purpose-built integrations that connect provider systems to PocketHealth, reducing manual workflows and improving patient flow and care quality. The role requires deep ownership of production services, including observability, monitoring, incident response, and resolution.
The Provider team handles all connections with healthcare providers, making optimal integration with their existing systems critical to platform success. You'll own product and design decisions for your domain, defining what gets built and how it works. The team emphasizes practical, edge-case-aware engineering rather than generic solutions, as healthcare providers operate similar systems with divergent implementation details.
Key aspects of the role: AI-assisted development is standard practice (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot), enabling fast, precise shipping with high quality across multiple simultaneous deployments. You'll work with a tech stack including Go, Angular, TypeScript, C#, and MySQL. The team values engineers who use AI tools fluently, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, manage multiple active deployments, and hold themselves to high standards on both code quality and client outcomes.
This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in the Toronto office, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time. The role offers competitive compensation, equity (stock options), comprehensive health and benefits, and four weeks of paid time off.
