As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and operating Harvey's core compute and networking infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, workflow orchestration, and production foundations. You'll work on systems that enable engineering teams to move quickly while maintaining reliability at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and operate production infrastructure powering Harvey's products and AI workloads, driving technical direction across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration
- Lead complex cross-functional technical initiatives improving reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency
- Build and operate global compute and network infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance for rapidly growing AI workloads
- Develop capacity models, demand forecasts, and fleet automation to scale efficiently with business growth
- Operate and improve Harvey's Kubernetes platform including cluster provisioning, upgrades, networking, monitoring, and automation
- Drive infrastructure cost efficiency through capacity management, resource optimization, and utilization monitoring
- Build secure infrastructure foundations including IAM, network isolation, secrets management, and compliance controls
- Develop scalable Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Pulumi
- Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response across the platform
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response, turning production learnings into durable improvements
- Establish reusable patterns and paved paths helping teams ship and operate services safely
- Mentor and raise the engineering bar through design reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
Required qualifications: 5+ years in software, infrastructure, SRE, or production engineering; deep experience with large-scale cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP; strong hands-on Kubernetes production experience; distributed systems expertise; infrastructure automation and IaC proficiency; strong understanding of compute, networking, capacity planning, and fleet management; observability and incident response experience; infrastructure security knowledge; track record driving complex cross-functional initiatives; excellent communication skills; systems-thinking mindset.
