Salary: USD 144,000 - 209,000 / annual

SeatGeek is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform team, which powers the core technology ecosystem supporting both enterprise and consumer ticketing lines of business. The platform serves high-profile clients including the Dallas Cowboys and Manchester City FC, handling unique challenges such as high-load onsales, workflow automation, and resilience requirements. In this role, you will bring a software engineer's mindset to SeatGeek's scaling, automation, and resilience challenges. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining developer-facing observability tools, engineering resilient and observable networking infrastructure across multiple regions, collaborating with other departments on production system operations and autonomous deployments, and providing expertise across deployment, configuration, routing, monitoring, and scalability. You will mentor and lead the team around you, becoming a force multiplier, and participate in an on-call schedule to support customer experience. The role emphasizes leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining SeatGeek's technical and product standards. The tech stack includes Go, C#, Python, and Bash; Kubernetes, Docker, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda; Postgres, SQL Server, Memcache, Redis, and Elasticsearch; Kafka, Flink, Airflow, and Temporal; Cilium, Consul, Envoy, and CoreDNS; DataDog for monitoring; PagerDuty for incident management; Chef and Ansible for configuration; Vault for secrets; Cloudformation and Terraform for infrastructure as code; and AWS as the primary cloud provider. Requirements: - Passion for craftsmanship and product with well-considered opinions about software and reliable infrastructure - Experience building business-critical software in fast-paced environments - Experience solving complex technical challenges, particularly in high-traffic systems, inventory tracking, and event matching - Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and serverless compute platforms - Experience with continuous integration, delivery, testing, and code deployment - Experience using observability tools to make performance improvements and forecast growth - Experience improving system architecture, diagnosing shortcomings, and implementing evidence-based recommendations Note: Prior experience with the specific tech stack is not required; the company values problem-solving approach and ability to learn tools.
