The Platform Team provides core infrastructure and developer-facing tools that enable the rest of the engineering organization to move quickly and safely. You'll architect and build foundational components including data modeling, integration testing, and release tooling—creating simple, reliable interfaces that abstract away complexity around scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you'll focus on developer productivity as your north star. You'll architect and scope core system components from the ground up, identify and drive new platform initiatives while mentoring junior engineers, and partner closely with product teams to design elegant solutions that are forward-thinking about future needs.
You'll work across server-side languages (Python and Django in practice, but tech-agnostic in interviews), cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems. You'll monitor production applications, respond to incidents, improve observability, and understand relational databases and transaction semantics. You're comfortable taking broad guidance, scoping ambiguous work, and independently driving complex projects while collaborating across the organization.
The role is ideal if you have 4+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful exposure to cloud infrastructure, platform systems, or developer-facing tools. Early-stage startup experience is a plus. You're excited about applying AI to create real leverage for engineers—building AI-enabled developer tools, internal workflows, and automated engineering processes.
