Salary: USD 146,200 - 215,000 / annual

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Partner Engineering organization, you will own the backend systems and services that manage Flex's most critical external integrations and power the product platform. You'll work hands-on as an individual contributor, collaborating across Engineering, Product, Design, Infrastructure, Sales, Partner, and Customer Success teams to deliver customer and partner-facing products.
Key responsibilities include designing and building robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies; architecting and maintaining data pipelines; developing REST APIs and service-oriented architecture; and ensuring high availability through observability and monitoring. You'll work with Java-based microservices deployed on AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) using containerization and CI/CD automation.
Required qualifications: minimum 6 years software engineering experience, 4+ years with Java, proficiency in Spring framework (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit, and JVM tuning; experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, and message queues; AWS and containerization expertise; ability to work on globally-distributed teams with high ownership; and strong cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions), observability tools (DataDog), big data platforms (Snowflake), Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform), mentoring experience, and excellent written/verbal communication.
