You will join the Provisioning & Licensing team as a Senior Backend Software Engineer, a critical "glue team" between business functions and the core platform. This role demands significant autonomy and ownership, with responsibility for the core provisioning pipeline and strategic Self-Managed Platform Solution for highly regulated environments.
The Provisioning & Licensing team owns latency-sensitive internal APIs for automatically creating new tenants based on customer data, plus an internal Feature & Configuration system. The team operates as a central internal unit with many touchpoints across engineering and business teams like Licensing Management. You will contribute actively to prioritization discussions in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include: end-to-end problem ownership from architecture to delivery ("you build it, you own it"); contributing to the Self-Managed Platform Solution by implementing components, tooling, and integration patterns; having a strong say in technical vision and strategy, balancing trade-offs between cloud and self-managed deployment models; continuously focusing on scalability and reliability while upholding latency SLAs; and collaborating with other engineering teams (Identity, Platform) on broad-impact technical projects with thorough documentation.
The tech stack is modern and cloud-native: Java 25, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes orchestration, modular monolithic architecture with enforced module boundaries, Kustomize for deployment files, GitHub CI and Kargo for deployment, and Datadog for metrics, logs, and APM.
Required qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience building high-performance Java applications; strong practical experience with Spring frameworks; expert-level familiarity with relational databases and SQL; solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and Kubernetes; experience with microservices patterns and distributed systems; and strong communication and collaboration skills.
