Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Multi-Product Platform (MPP) organization's Customer Journey team. This role focuses on optimizing customer onboarding and proof-of-value experiences across the enterprise product suite, building systems that reduce manual steps and accelerate time-to-value.
You will own full-stack feature development, designing and building product offerings, APIs, platforms, and frameworks that support a world-class customer experience. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining feature buildouts, ensuring system stability and reliability through code reviews and on-call participation, and writing production-quality code with strong emphasis on testability, readability, and error handling. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across teams, taking ownership of complex projects and driving positive impact.
The role requires participation in team roadmap discussions, long-term planning, and active knowledge sharing. You'll communicate asynchronously with distributed team members, propose solutions to technical challenges, and contribute to architectural decisions through technical design documents.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals, proven ability to own and drive complex systems end-to-end, and strong production experience with Python and PostgreSQL. You must have solid system design skills, understanding of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, growth-minded, and skilled at working autonomously with remote collaborators.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with Golang, Airflow orchestration, and familiarity with AI productivity tools like ChatGPT or Cursor.
