Salary: USD 200,000 - 240,000 / annual
Postman is the world's leading API platform used by 45+ million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. The Monetization team is responsible for building and scaling the company's product-led packaging, subscription model, billing systems, and revenue infrastructure.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will lead initiatives to develop a powerful config-driven monetization platform that improves customer purchase experience and internal tooling. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and enhance core Monetization platform components including offer management, packaging, plans, pricing, and billing systems that support pre-purchase workflows and revenue recognition
- Lead active development of internal services, introducing new frameworks, optimizing APIs, and improving scale and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, Support, Quality, Security, and Platform Engineers to build integrated APIs and products
- Perform code reviews, mentor team members, and advocate for software engineering best practices
- Architect solutions leveraging technical and domain expertise, and share knowledge across squads on best practices
- Design and build internal tooling to support product development and maintenance
You bring 6+ years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at scale. Required technical skills include proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, Redis, ReactJS, and web fundamentals. You have strong knowledge of database fundamentals (query optimization, schema design, indexing, caching) and infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring tools like CloudWatch and New Relic). You have a proven track record of building products from scratch and leading teams on complex projects, with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Bonus experience includes monetization platforms (payments, subscriptions, taxes, revenue recognition, sales-driven contracts).
