As a Senior Software Engineer on the Menu Platform team, you will be a backend-focused individual contributor responsible for advancing this high-scale, high-impact system. Key responsibilities include building data-driven features that power dynamic menu operations, contributing to planning and strategy for tools and internal platforms, designing and implementing backend services using agile practices, collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and support teams, writing and maintaining high-quality code across multiple projects, architecting scalable systems for large distributed workloads, improving platform reliability and performance, and championing innovation through exploration of new technologies.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; 3+ years of professional software engineering experience; strong background in building scalable and reliable distributed systems; experience with large-scale, high-traffic applications; proficiency in Java and modern backend development practices; ability to design new systems and evolve existing architectures; demonstrated track record of meaningful contributions; clear communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The role is based in Mountain View with a five-day-per-week onsite requirement. The company emphasizes close collaboration and continuous innovation as core to its culture.
