Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Manufacturing Test to serve as the technical anchor for software infrastructure validating critical defense hardware in the EagleEye program. You will own the hands-on execution of migrating and refactoring legacy LabVIEW test capabilities into modern Python environments, directly impacting the speed, yield, and reliability of tactical systems delivered to warfighters.
Key responsibilities include deploying bulletproof automated test software to the production floor ensuring 100% mission readiness; bridging LabVIEW-to-Python gaps by writing integration layers, wrappers, and APIs to run legacy test sequences within modern Python-based test runners; partnering with centralized software teams to adopt standardized test frameworks, unified database schemas, and modern deployment tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD); building interactive test dashboards and integrating Statistical Process Control (SPC) engines to track parameter drift and identify manufacturing anomalies before hardware reaches the field; collaborating with product software and firmware teams during design phases to define test interfaces and diagnostic APIs; developing and maintaining core software libraries, instrument drivers, and test templates for standardized hardware interaction (RF, power, digital signals); and owning production floor software health through deep-dive debugging of complex test sequences, memory leak analysis, and codebase patching.
Required qualifications include a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline; 8+ years of professional experience writing, debugging, and deploying test automation software; proficiency in Python (applications, OOP, API integration) and LabVIEW (architecture, debugging, actor framework/state machines); experience collaborating with cross-functional software teams to integrate localized hardware scripts with centralized enterprise systems; proven experience writing driver software for laboratory/production equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DAQs, load banks); solid grasp of modern software engineering practices (Git, unit testing, CI/CD, release management); and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or RESTful APIs for hardware-to-software communication; familiarity with containerization (Docker) and deploying software to edge computers on factory floors; experience scaling hardware test suites from NPI to high-rate production; and current possession of an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
