Exiger is an AI-powered supply chain risk management platform trusted by 550+ global customers, including Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies. The company is FedRAMP authorized and recognized as a leader in supply chain AI and transparency.
You will join as a Senior Software Engineer to lead the DDIQ team, responsible for the core risk signals processing engine—the foundation of Exiger's platform. This team transforms massive volumes of global company data and real-world event signals into actionable risk insights that help customers identify and mitigate supplier and partner risks.
In this role, you will own the technical vision and architecture for DDIQ end-to-end, serving as the most senior technical authority on the team. You'll provide leadership across backend, frontend, data, infrastructure, and system design. Key responsibilities include establishing clear architectural direction for current needs and long-term growth, managing AI agents to drive delivery across the full SDLC (design, development, testing, CI/CD, operations), delivering features across multiple services and systems, overseeing architecture and design decisions, ensuring reliability and observability across the microservices ecosystem, and driving operational excellence including CI/CD lifecycle management, testing, deployments, and cost optimization.
You bring 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with significant expertise designing, building, and operating complex backend systems or data-intensive applications. You have demonstrated experience as a technical lead or senior engineer responsible for the architecture, technical direction, and health of scaled enterprise applications with mission-critical customer impact. You possess strong system design instincts, deep understanding of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, IaC), and experience with mission-critical, API-first SaaS systems. Experience in FedRAMP or DoD environments is a bonus.
The tech stack includes Java/Spring Boot, MySQL, TypeScript/Angular, ActiveMQ/Kafka/Redis, Kubernetes via Helm and Argo CD, AWS via Terraform, and ELK/Grafana for observability. The role is hybrid (2 days per week on-site) with flexibility across McLean VA, New York NY, or Richmond VA locations.
