Syllo is the market leader in enterprise-grade litigation AI, defining the Litigation AI category with a unified platform that autonomously manages the entire litigation lifecycle. Founded in 2019 by litigators and engineers, Syllo serves Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw 200 firms, and has been recognized with ILTA Transformative Project of the Year and ALM eDiscovery Technology of the Year for 2026. As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Internal Tools, you will drive the evolution of Syllo's internal software infrastructure, enabling the company to scale smoothly across all departments. This role centers on building and maintaining custom tools that keep operations running efficiently—including document and contract parsing engines, interactive Slack applications, and custom operational utilities. You will work in an AI-first environment, leveraging modern AI coding agents and automated testing toolsets as primary capabilities in your workflow. You'll maintain high velocity while upholding strong standards for system design, code clarity, and reliability. Key responsibilities include: building and scaling internal software tools used across Finance, Legal, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations; utilizing AI coding agents to supercharge execution while applying engineering discernment to agent output; implementing automated testing strategies and evaluation pipelines using AI tooling; building scoring frameworks and evaluation harnesses to assess LLM-backed workflows; designing smart team workflows tailored to evolving business processes; and collaborating on best practices for integrating AI-generated code into the codebase. You bring 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems, consistent hands-on use of AI coding agents as part of modern development workflows, and experience building automated testing workflows for AI/LLM applications. You have practical knowledge integrating large language model APIs, building internal applications and workflow automation, and proficiency in Python and modern frontend frameworks (React). Experience with document processing, contract workflows, or legal technology is a strong plus. A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience is required. Compensation includes a competitive base salary ($160k–$200k) plus equity options, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, vacation and paid holidays, access to benefit counselors and fitness reimbursements, and an annual learning and development budget.
