Salary: CAD 123,750 - 165,000 / annual

Lattice is a people success platform offering performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, real-time feedback, goal setting, and career planning tools. The Infrastructure Platform team builds the cloud services, infrastructure, and internal platforms that power Lattice's products, enabling product engineers to develop, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services reliably and efficiently. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Platform team, you will own a broad technical footprint spanning AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, distributed systems, observability, deployment tooling, and internal developer platforms. You'll leverage your experience to understand how systems interact, identify friction points, and build platform capabilities that improve reliability and developer productivity. Key responsibilities include: - Design, build, and operate AWS-based cloud infrastructure and platform services - Create reusable internal platform capabilities that improve how engineers build, deploy, and operate services - Work across AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, and distributed systems - Partner with product engineering teams to identify recurring needs and turn them into scalable platform solutions - Evaluate system interactions, identify risks or inefficiencies, and drive improvements - Improve reliability, performance, availability, and maintainability of production systems - Define and promote platform practices including SLOs, monitoring, incident response, and operational readiness - Instrument, debug, and improve services and infrastructure - Lead technical initiatives from problem definition through delivery and adoption - Mentor engineers on building reliable, scalable systems - Participate in on-call and incident response You bring 5+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience with deep AWS production expertise. You have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred). Strong programming skills in TypeScript, experience with CI/CD workflows, observability tools (metrics, logs, traces, alerting, SLOs), and the ability to reason across complex systems are essential. You've led technical initiatives with multiple stakeholders and communicate tradeoffs and progress clearly to engineering teams.
