AcuityMD is a high-growth AI and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies for MedTech companies. The company helps manufacturers understand product usage, identify customer variations, and unlock opportunities for physicians to better serve patients. Backed by Benchmark, Redpoint, ICONIQ Growth, and Ajax Health, AcuityMD is scaling rapidly in the healthtech space.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will design, build, and operate core platform primitives—compute, networking, storage, CI/CD, and developer tooling—that power applications end-to-end. You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to deliver both external customer value and internal developer experience improvements.
Key responsibilities include: implementing container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale; improving observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and automated remediation to increase availability; using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to make systems repeatable and auditable; optimizing cluster utilization and costs; building internal tooling and golden paths for product teams; participating in on-call rotations and incident response; evolving CI/CD pipelines and environment strategies; and leveraging agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate development.
You'll need 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering. Required skills include hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, understanding of observability practices (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs), familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, programming proficiency in a modern language, and awareness of security fundamentals (IAM, workload identity, network policies, encryption, secrets management). Nice-to-haves include open source contributions, GCP experience, Terraform, Python/Go/TypeScript, and experience building CI/CD systems and developer tooling. The role emphasizes extreme ownership, agency, collaboration, and thriving in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
