Vertice is an Intelligent Procurement Platform transforming enterprise B2B procurement by combining automated agentic workflows, deep AI insights, and expert negotiator networks. The company has processed $75bn+ in spend, delivered 20% savings to customers, and achieved 13X revenue growth over two years. As Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will be instrumental in maintaining Vertice's high-quality solution standards. You'll own challenging testing tasks from conception through completion with minimal supervision, taking a proactive role in advancing testing frameworks, tooling, and processes that benefit multiple teams. Your expertise in test automation—particularly with Playwright for E2E UI testing and Python with Behave for integration testing—will be critical. You'll work with a modern tech stack including TypeScript/React on the frontend, AWS-based serverless microservices on the backend, and CI/CD pipelines. You're comfortable reading and writing code in Python or other programming languages, with a strong grasp of testing best practices. Beyond individual contribution, you'll mentor less experienced QA engineers, sharing expertise and providing hands-on guidance. Vertice operates with a flat organizational structure emphasizing trust, autonomy, and collaboration. While Technical Leads exist, there's significant room for individual impact. Cross-functional chapters bring specialists together to share knowledge and drive improvements. The company values a growth mindset, transparency, and diversity. You must be fluent in English, comfortable in an international team environment, and ideally based in Linz, Austria. You'll be legally able to work in the region.
