Salary: USD 154,700 - 260,000 / annual

The Route Planning team builds products that help customers optimize delivery decisions, driver-to-truck assignments, and balance order fulfillment against fleet utilization and profitability. The team has achieved product-market fit and is expanding to new verticals.
In this role, you will design and build features end-to-end (frontend to backend) across diverse customer bases from grocery delivery to oil and gas. You'll leverage AI with strong judgment, knowing when to prototype to unblock customer deals or accelerate refactors that reduce incident risk. You'll partner with the engineering manager and staff engineers to advocate for technical excellence, collaborate with product and design on efficient interfaces and APIs, and mentor junior engineers to build a strong technical bench.
This is a remote position open to US and Canada residents. Relocation assistance is not provided.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Demonstrated ability executing in ambiguous environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, navigating technical and customer conversations

- Proven experience shaping and improving routing and navigation products
- Passion for mentoring and helping junior engineers grow
- Track record thriving in 0→1 teams and scaling through post-startup phase
- Experience operating as a tech lead or similar technical role directly impacting other engineers' output
- Willingness to engage directly with customers when needed
