Aledade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II - Risk to maintain, improve, and expand its web application and data pipelines serving the healthcare industry. This role focuses on solving complex, domain-specific challenges through secure, maintainable, performant, and scalable solutions. You will work as a peer with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to develop and execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing scalable and performant solutions, partnering across teams to drive technical strategy, and mentoring junior engineers through thorough code reviews and constructive feedback. The team emphasizes risk minimization through observability, alerting, metrics, high test coverage, and frequent incremental releases.
This is an individual contributor role at the senior level, where you will guide technical decisions and mentor others without direct people management responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years experience building full-stack web applications as part of cross-functional teams
- 3+ years experience with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets
- 3+ years experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in team settings, balancing short-term and long-term business value
- 3+ years experience coaching other engineers
PREFERRED:
- Full-stack web application development in any language/framework
- Expertise in at least one server-side web technology (Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go, JVM)
- Experience with data ingestion systems and optimizing performance for large-scale data processing and analysis
- Familiarity with relational database systems
- API design and development experience
- Cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Security and systems handling sensitive data
