Salary: USD 156,364 - 250,909 / annual
Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Full-Stack to join the Cloud Data Ingestion & Transformation (CDIT) team. This team is critical to Braze's growth and owns multiple systems enabling customers to integrate their data with the Braze platform. The CDIT team focuses on two main product areas: Braze's Cloud Data Ingestion, which allows customers to leverage data from their cloud warehouse within Braze (processing trillions of data points annually and integrating with growing Braze features), and Data Transformation, a platform for customizing data flow from external sources into Braze.
In this role, you will work on end-to-end feature delivery with a primary focus on backend systems while regularly delivering frontend experiences. You'll drive architectural decisions, contribute to technical strategy, and have direct impact on customer success and company growth. The position requires strong full-stack development expertise with emphasis on building scalable web applications, designing robust data structures and algorithms, and working effectively in agile team environments.
You'll be expected to be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of learning new technologies as needed to deliver customer value. The role involves working with high-volume data and traffic at scale, building automated data pipelines, and collaborating with a sharp, passionate team.

**Requirements:**
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience with strong focus on building scalable web applications
- Experienced technical leader with track record of driving architectural decisions and contributing to technical strategy
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills; experience working in agile team environments
- Willingness to learn technologies required to deliver customer needs
**Bonus qualifications:**
- Professional experience building software at scale, handling high volumes of data and traffic
- Experience building automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications using tools like Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, RabbitMQ
- Professional experience with Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservice architecture, distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics
- Experience with agile processes
- Passion for incrementally delivering high-quality software that delights customers
