Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
You will join the Operational Excellence (OPX) team within the Developer Experience (DevEx) organization. DevEx is responsible for the engineering environment that Samsara's globally distributed engineering organization relies on daily — from build and deploy systems to development tooling and AI-assisted workflows.
The OPX team keeps production healthy at scale by providing engineering teams with platform capabilities, observability tooling, automated safeguards, incident management tools, and safe feature release systems. The team focuses on raising the bar for system stability, resilience, and reliability across Samsara by building automated safeguards that protect production, ensuring engineers receive the right signals at the right time, and giving teams visibility to stay in control of their services. You'll also invest in AI-driven operational tooling and partner directly with product engineering teams to strengthen their operational posture.
As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will work on hard infrastructure and platform problems that directly impact how thousands of engineers ship code safely and reliably. This is a remote position open to candidates in the Eastern Time zone in the US and Canada. The final interview stage includes a full-day, in-person onsite at the SF office to collaborate with senior technical leaders.
