As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be a key individual contributor designing and shipping scalable, production-grade microservices and APIs that power the intelligent site platform. You'll work alongside a dedicated engineering team, architecting high-performance backend systems while maintaining strict software craftsmanship standards.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and implementing backend features and API endpoints using Node.js and TypeScript; optimizing system architecture, API latency, and database query performance to support platform scale; collaborating cross-functionally with Product, QA, and DevOps to translate requirements into technical specifications and timely releases; championing engineering best practices through rigorous testing, code reviews, and technical documentation; performing root-cause analysis on production defects to preserve uptime and data integrity; providing technical mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers; contributing to CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling; and staying current on modern cloud architecture and backend patterns.
This is an onsite role based at LVT's American Fork, UT headquarters. The role emphasizes both individual technical excellence and collaborative leadership through mentorship and code review.
